To Mr. Randall S. Cross,
Hotep! Today you took a major step forward in completing a process in which many are called but few are chosen. Tomorrow you will take those final steps across the stage to accept your diploma, signifying that you have earned one of the most coveted degrees in all of academia, the Doctor of Jurisprudence. Your perseverance and hard work have gotten you this far. Your continued focus will lift you over the next hurdle this July, passing the bar exam. Thereafter, I have no doubt that your ingenuity and passion will serve you well as you embark on the much longer and more rewarding journey to becoming a great legal counselor. No matter what the road ahead holds for you, I know you will meet each challenge with patience and integrity, and please know that I am here to assist you in any way I can. You make me very proud! So, to you and your classmates, I wish you nothing but continued success! Congratulations on your graduation from law school!
