Carrying emotional bags

Tons of battle scars

Memories haunting me

Bringing them into the future

Past incidents affecting me to this day

I need to just let it go

In my new relationships, it shows

Too much heartache

Too many tears shed

A burden on my back

I want to unload so desperately!

It’s not fair to me or others

Judging people for other’s mistakes

Sorry, it’s something I can’t help

Giving up the ghost? No such luck

Why are you here?

Why are you stalking me?

Please leave and disappear

The past is the past, can’t change it

But here it is, haunting me
