It’s always “your way”

Never take into consideration “my way”

You say you run the show

Afraid to let someone else take control

You call the shots, make the rules

Don’t care about how I feel

I’m just supposed to listen

When I try to say what’s on my mind

You tune me out and shut me down

You pass judgment on me for the past

Don’t forgive or forget easily, why is that?

Maybe that’s where the control factor comes in

Trying to keep me in a niche, I can’t win

Slowly and slowly pushing me away

This is why I must leave and cannot stay

I still love you, but I can’t deal with this anymore

Unless things change – a lot of surprises will be in store…
